At the end of this class, there will be a final quiz. You must pass the quiz to purchase the certificate. The certificate will be emailed to you by the Concealed Handgun License specialist during the work week.
Before you apply for your CHL:
Minimum qualifications:
The applicant must be a citizen of the United States or legal resident alien that can show intent to gain citizenship. If a resident alien, they must reside in the county for at least six months.
The applicant must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be a resident of Union County, Oregon
No outstanding warrants
Applicant cannot be on any form of pretrial release
Applicant must not have a felony conviction.
Applicant cannot have a misdemeanor conviction within the last four years.
Must not have been dishonorably discharged
Cannot be a registered sex offender
Cannot have any active restraining orders or stalking orders
Cannot have been mentally committed to the Oregon Health Authority
Must not have been found mentally ill and prohibited from purchasing or possession a firearm because of mental illness.
A person with drug convictions or diversions other than for marijuana will not be eligible for a CHL.
